Rest at Malai and turn around. Balance on one foot to pick up the stone and hop back to the baseline to complete the round.

About This Game

Pandi (பாண்டி) or Nondi (நொண்டி) is the traditional Tamil hopscotch game played on chalk grids across village streets and temple courtyards. Throw your flat stone (கட்டை) into numbered squares without touching chalk boundary lines. Hop on one foot through the single boxes, straddle double wings, rest at the top semicircle Malai (மலை), pick up your stone on the return hop, and conquer squares to build your Veedu (வீடு)!
